DALLAS -- Former Dallas Cowboys tackle Josh Brent will spend at least 45 days in rehab following his release from jail in the drunken-driving death of a teammate and a return to his former team remains a possibility. Brent was released Sunday after serving about five months in jail for the wreck that killed Cowboys practice squad linebacker Jerry Brown, his close friend and college teammate at Illinois. A judge ordered Brent to spend at least 45 days in a residential facility for substance abuse as part of his sentence of 10 years of probation. Brent avoided prison time at trial -- he faced up to 20 years -- and at 26, he could presumably seek to re-enter the league. His agent, Peter Schaffer, declined Monday to discuss Brents pro prospects. "Its up to the treatment professionals as to whats best for him and he will do whatever they think is best," Schaffer said. "Nothing else matters right now." Brent and Brown were headed home from a nightclub in December 2012 when Brent lost control of his Mercedes and crashed on a suburban Dallas highway. Officers arriving at the scene saw Brent trying to pull Browns body from the wreckage. Tests showed Brents blood-alcohol level was 0.18 per cent, more than twice the states legal limit for drivers. A prosecution expert estimated that the 320-pound lineman would have had to have as many as 17 drinks on the night of the crash. Brent did not play after the crash and announced his retirement from the Cowboys before the trial. League spokesman Greg Aiello said Monday that Brent can apply for reinstatement through the office of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who must also consider whether to discipline Brent under the leagues personal conduct policy. As a possible precedent, Goodell suspended NFL wide receiver Donte Stallworth for the entire 2009 season after Stallworth pleaded guilty to a DUI manslaughter charge in Florida. While acknowledging that the league will have "a big say" in Brents future, Cowboys executive vice-president Stephen Jones said recently that the team had not ruled out his return. Team executives and players have stood by Brent after the crash, with the support of Browns mother, Stacey Jackson. Brent was starting in place of the injured Jay Ratliff at the time of the crash, and had 31 tackles in 39 games over three seasons in Dallas. Dallas County prosecutors have said they wont object to Brent attempting a comeback, as long as he doesnt violate his probation. Brent was jailed briefly before trial after testing positive twice for marijuana. His probation conditions are expected to include restrictions on drug use and travel. Graham Glasgow Jersey. American superstar runner Mary Decker was shoulder-to-shoulder with her rival, the rising South African challenger Zola Budd representing Great Britain during apartheid. Then they clashed. Decker went down and Budds race was all but over as boos from the home crowd echoed around the stadium. The tangle sparked weeks of debate around the world about who was to blame and the athletes have forever been defined by that moment. Now they have come together, almost 32 years later, for a documentary to tell their stories and set the record straight. Decker is comforted by a track official after falling during the 3000m final in Los Angeles Speaking ahead of their first viewing of the film, they both gave similar reasons for wanting to take part after years of refusing similar requests. To be honest, over the years its like why do I want to?. Its a difficult time of my life I dont want to be reliving, Decker said. New Sky Atlantic film The Fall tells the tale of Budd and Decker at the 1984 Olympic Games But if we do it and its a good enough product, it would put a lot of it to rest.Budd, who was famous for her bare-foot running before the Olympics and later ran for South Africa at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, faced a barrage of criticism after the race. She waas initially accused of tripping Decker and said the documentary was a chance to finally tell her side.dddddddddddd think in the past, Ive been labelled many things, she said. Decker and Budd at Wednesdays premiere of new Sky Atlantic documentary The Fall in London People have a certain narrative of me that they want me to live to. The approach of the documentary is not blaming, its telling your view. Both women now live in America. Budd continues to run and coach young athletes but Decker is no longer able to do the thing she loved. Decker, Budd and Maricica Puica (L-R) during the womens 3000m final at the 1984 Olympic Games They both now agree that the clash was an accident, but still blame the sports and mainstream media for building up their rivalry before and after the race. They were making a story out of Zola and myself before the games, Decker said. We were just two competitors trying to compete. I think the media had a lot to do with the frenzy. Budd poses next to her world-record time for the 5000m set at Crystal Palace in 1985 At the time, Budd was disqualified then reinstated, but the official verdict cut no ice with Decker, who refused her young admirers attempt at reconciliation.Dont bother, Budd was told when she approached Decker afterwards. The pair renewed their rivalry in 1985, Decker winning comfortably, while Budd set a world record for the 5,000m the same year. They admit, though, their careers have and always will be defined by that moment.I think a lot of the sports world, when they think of our names, think of that moment, Decker said. But our careers are so much more than that day. We do have quite good achievements but thats whats sticks in peoples minds. The Fall is on Sky Atlantic on Friday 29 July at 9pm and in cinemas nationwide from the same day. EDMONTON -- Michael Raffl looked like he had won the lottery. http://www.officialraidersgear.com/Raiders-Jalen-Richard-Draft-Jersey/ - http://www.officialraidersgear.com/Raiders-Jalen-Richard-Draft-Jersey/ . The 25-year-old rookie forward scored the winner on his first career shootout attempt as the Philadelphia Flyers overcame an early deficit to earn a 4-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday. "I didnt really expect to be sent out there," Raffl said. "I was ready to hold my helmet and then I heard that I was going third and I was like nice. I really enjoyed it. "It was nice to get the chance and it going in made it even nicer. Its always nice to score a goal, and to have it be the winner was even better" Wayne Simmonds had a pair of goals and Scott Hartnell also scored for the Flyers (18-16-4), who have won four out of their last five games and snapped a five-game losing streak on the road as they started a six-game trip in Edmonton. "Weve been struggling on the road, so to start off this long road trip with a pretty solid victory is very nice," said Flyers goalie Steve Mason, who was only called upon to face 16 shots. "We just need to carry it through to our next game and keep building on this." It was the third consecutive two-goal game for Simmonds, who has seven goals in his last five outings. He was the first Flyer to have three straight multiple-goal games since Reggie Leach in 1981. "Obviously it has been a good stretch for me," Simmonds said. "Its been even better that the team has been starting to win and piling up the two points most nights. It feels good. Ive just been getting the bounces." Taylor Hall, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and David Perron responded for the Oilers (13-24-4), who had a two-game winning streak end and have lost seven of their last nine. "It wasnt our best game thats for sure, but sometimes you have to take a look at what youve done," Hall said. "A back-to-back after a three-day break isnt necessarily the easiest thing to do. Thats not really an excuse, but when you look back at the schedule sometimes theres reasons for why you dont do well. When we have a schedule like that, we have to keep it as simple as possible and make sure were not playing a mistake-filled game." It was the first game Edmonton goalie Ilya Bryzgalov had played against his old Flyers teammates since Philadelphia bought him and his hefty long-term contract out during the summer. "I know theyre not going to quit," the goalie said of his Flyer foes. "I knew what was coming, I knew they were going to play hard and they were going to get lots of pucks to the net. Thats the style they play, aggressive. "Playing back to back nights after three days off, its not easy. I think we battled through and tried our best. Its great to get the point. Edmonton got off to a very quick start to the game, scoring on its first shot just 32 seconds in. Hall picked the pocket of Flyers defenceman Braydon Coburn deep in the Philadelphia zone and beat Mason with a quick wrist shot high to the glove side for his 15th goal of the season. The Oilers made it 2-0 four minutes into the first period as Nugent-Hopkins made a nice move at the blue-line to give himself some space and beat Mason with a shot from the slot. A couple of Oilers hit milestones with assists on the goal, as Hall recorded his 100th NHL assist and captain Andrew Ference his 200th point. The Flyers started to pick it up for the remainder of the period, but could get any of their 11 shots past Bryzgalov in the Edmonton net. Bryzgalov came up huge to start the second period as he stopped Sean Couturier on a pair of short-handed opportunities in tight, including one on a diving stick save. The Oilers have allowed a league-high eight short-handed goals this season. The Flyers got on the board three-and-a-half minutes into the second period on a power play of their own as Simmonds was able to tip in a blast from the top of the circle by Claude Giroux, who extended his point streak to eight games. Philadelphia tied the game 2-2 with eight minutes to play in the second on another power-play goal as a pretty tic-tac-toe passing display had Bryzgalov spinning around in his net before Simmonds was able to put his second of the game into a wide-open cage. Edmonton was out-shot 14-3 in the second period. The Oilers came close to regaining the lead six minutes into the third on a power play but Sam Gagner hit the crossbar and Jeff Petry a post with the man advantage. Edmonton did strike for a goal on their next power play with eight minutes remaining in the third, however, as Perron banked a short from the side of the net off Flyers defender Niklas Grossmann and into the net for his team-leading 16th of the season and 100th career NHL goal. Philadelphia came right back to tie the game 3-3 with five-and-a-half minutes left with their third power play goal as Hartnell tipped a Kimmo Timonen shot past a frustrated Bryzgalov on a five-on-three opportunity. Mason was able to keep it a tied game with two minutes left as he stoned Perron with a pivotal glove save on a breakaway with two minutes remaining to send the game to extra time. The shots favoured the Flyers 36-15 after the third period. Notes: It was the second and final meeting between the two teams this season, with the Flyers winning the first game 4-2 in Philadelphia on Nov. 9. The Flyers came into the game without a win in Edmonton since March 19, 2001a Oilers defenceman Corey Potter missed the game with a groin strain. Recent AHL call-up Martin Marincin drew in as his replacementa Flyers winger Steve Downie returned from an upper body injury and fellow forward Adam Hall was also able to dress after missing practice on Friday with the flu. Defenceman Eric Gustafsson remained out with a knee injury. http://www.officialraidersgear.com/Raiders-Nick-Nelson-Draft-Jersey/ - Nick Nelson Jersey .com) - Ryan Johansens creative moves and hometown appeal highlighted Team Folignos successful night at the NHL All- Star Skills Competition. http://www.officialraidersgear.com/Raiders-Marquel-Lee-Draft-Jersey/ - http://www.officialraidersgear.com/Raiders-Marquel-Lee-Draft-Jersey/ .Y. -- Scott Chandler is returning to Buffalo, where he spent the past three seasons establishing himself as the Bills top pass-catching tight end.DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - A founding member of the golf club hosting this weeks Dubai Desert Classic has died after suffering cardiac arrest while warming up on the driving range before the pro-am for the European Tour event. The European Tour says in a statement the course at the Emirates Golf Club was closed on Wednesday following the death of Ashok Bakshi, who collapsed on the practice rrange and was transferred by air ambulance to a local hospital after being treated by the tours chief medical officer. http://www.officialraidersgear.com/Raiders-Khalil-Mack-Draft-Jersey/ - http://www.officialraidersgear.com/Raiders-Khalil-Mack-Draft-Jersey/.
